Horsemen of the apocalypse

14 June 2006

20 years,
or is it 21?
I have forgotten to count.
A little early,
or a trifle too late.
Days begun,
Little done.
Happiness shared,
Smiles exchanged,
The joy of living.
Yes,
but eternity for us
is not forever.

Nights undone
In sweet sorrow dreams.
Like carpets thick,
Dust swept under,
forgotten.

Drops of water
On parched earth,
Hissing and fading away,
Herald horsemen from afar,
In search of wiser reasons
More than futile cycles.

A moment more…
Gone.
And still no answers.
Just another emotion,
Fading away,
Happily.
